Trombonist - Arranger - Educator

Biography

Connor Martin is a London based trombonist. After deciding to pursue jazz performance, he studied his undergraduate degree at Leeds Conservatoire where he achieved the Reuben Vincent Trombone Scholarship which he used to purchase his custom R10 Rath trombone. Connor then continued to study his masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he attained a scholarship and the Help Musicians Postgraduate Award. During his time in London, Connor has studied with various leading trombone players. While specialising in jazz, he has developed the skills to become a versatile musician and prefers to work across genres. He regularly performs with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, the New York Brass Band and many other projects as a freelancer. Connor is also a fellow of the Guildhall and is focusing on outreach work. When away from the trombone, he likes to further develop his study of Alexander Technique and to tend to his tortoise, Sergeant Pepper.
